 We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and well established team, to support a pupil with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis. This post is for 5 hours a week, between 8.45am-9.45am during Term Time only, with a possibility that the number of hours will increase. It is a specific purpose post necessary whilst the child is on roll at the school and the child leaves the school, the post will end.  There is potential for flexibility for the right candidate and the possibility of job sharing. We are looking for someone with:

·  experience or a strong interest in working in a learning / child care setting

·  an interest in working with children who have additional needs

·  a willingness to undertake the training required to meet the needs of the child

·  skills of empathy, listening, communication and responding with appropriate language to build rapport with children

·  a willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities on a regular basis

·  a flexible, adaptable and positive attitude to working in a structured environment

·  good communication skills to promote and develop effective working with pupils and colleagues
