Modern Foreign Languages
At St. Sampson’s, our teaching of a foreign language (French) aims is to promote enjoyment in language learning. Through learning a foreign language, children develop a broader cultural understanding and an international outlook on life. Children develop their linguistic skills for learning a new language through joining in with songs, rhymes and games. They become familiar with sound and speech patterns and will perform simple communication tasks and role plays to enhance pronunciation.
